Basics of MS-Word

- Microsoft word is a word processing program, helps to create professional- quality documents.
- With formatting tools, Word helps to organize and write your documents more efficiently.

Creating a document.
1. Click File tab, then click New.
2. Under available templates, click Blank Document.
3. Click Create.

Opening a document.
1. Click File tab, then click Open.
2. In the left pane of Open dialog box, click drive or folder that contains document.
3. In the right pane of Open dialog box, open folder that contains document you want.
3. Click the document and then click Open.

Saving a document.
1. Click File tab, then click Save As.
2. In the File name box, enter a name for your document.
3. Click Save.

Print your document.
1. Click File tab, then click Print.
2. Under Print in the copies box, enter number of copies that you want to print.
3. Under Printer, make sure that printer that you want is selected.
4. Under Settings, the default print settings for your printer are selected for you.
5. When you are satisfied with the settings, click Print.
