Modem

- Modem is a device/program, which means MOdulator and DEModulator.

Enables the computer to transmit the data over telephone or cable lines.

- Information in computer is stored digitally and transmitted information over cable is in analog.

- Modem modulates computer digital data to cable analog waves while sending.

- Demodulates analog waves to digital information while recieving.

Modulates and demodulates the signals between computers.
