Types of Printer
I. Impact printers
- Impact printers make contact with the paper.
- Forms a print image or text by pressing an inked ribbon against the paper using hammer or pins.

Printheads produce a pattern of dots on the paper.
Daisy Wheel Printer
Hammer strikes the petal containing charecter against ribbon to print on the paper.
Chain Printer
Prints total line at a time.
II. Non-Impact printers
- Does not make contact with paper.
- Produses image or text om paper by droplets of ink or laser beam.
Inkjet Printer
Prints images and charecters by spraying ink from tiny nozzles.
Laser Printer
Produce images and text by directing a laser beam on to a drum.
